Dorothy R. Hubbard, 85, of Milford, PA, formerly of Sparta, N.J., died Monday, September 28, 2009, at Belle Reve Senior Living Center, Milford, Pa. She was a seamstress, and a retired teacher’s aid from Sparta School District.
Born in Pottsville, Pa., January 26, 1924, she was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Stiles) Julian. She was married to Clarence W. Hubbard, who predeceased her July 14, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Clarence W. Hubbard Jr., of Los Alamos, N.M; three daughters, Lynn Murcko, of Milford, Pa, Elizabeth Karlson, of Yaphank, N.Y., and Jayne Buda, of Shohola, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Frank Murcko, Trish Ramage, Valerie Murcko, Senior Airman Brandon Pratt, Eric Paganetti, Carley Paganetti, Zachary Paganetti, Ian Hubbard, and Denver Paganetti; two great grandchildren, Aiden Ramage and Ethan Ramage; two sisters, Bernice Chernes, of Sparta, N.J., and Katherine Wood, of Pottsville, Pa.
Beloved mother, like the eagle; strong-willed and free-spirited, may you forever soar.
A memorial service was held at the Marsh-Kellogg American Legion, Post #139, Milford, PA, 18337, on Saturday, October 24.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
