Jean Birmelin, Stephen Ehrhardt and Michelle Williams have been promoted to the position of community office manager of The Dime Bank’s Honesdale, Lake Region and Hawley offices, respectively. Each of them will work with their team to provide customers and area residents with a knowledgeable and secure environment to discuss and conduct their banking needs.

Jean Birmelin joined The Dime Bank in June 1986 with four years of banking experience. Birmelin’s 28-year career in banking has prepared her to lead The Dime Bank’s main office. Birmelin began her career at The Dime Bank as the head teller in the Hawley office and worked her way up to manage the Hawley office. Her career then brought her to the Honesdale office where she has been assisting customers for the last sixteen years. Over the course of her career Birmelin has taken numerous financial educational classes. She resides in Lake Ariel with her husband, Bob. Birmelin is the treasurer of the Wayne County Salvation Army, is a member of the Lake Ariel Historical Society, a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hawley and volunteers for many other community service organizations.

Steve Ehrhardt joined The Dime Bank in April of 2008. With his extensive background in customer service and management that began in 1982, Ehrhardt was a perfect fit for The Dime Bank’s in-house management trainee program. This program enhanced his already solid background in finance, customer service and business management, while training him on the procedures and protocol specific to The Dime Bank. Ehrhardt holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Dickinson College. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale where he is a youth events volunteer, a member of the Downtown Hawley Partnership, a volunteer with Hope Hill Ministry, and a volunteer coach with the Honesdale Missy Basketball Program. Ehrhardt is a resident of Beach Lake along with his wife, Keely, and their children, Mackenzie and Maddie.

Michelle Williams’ career in banking began in 1985 where over a twelve year period she was promoted through the ranks to vice president of operations at an area financial institution. After taking time off to raise her family, she reentered the banking arena. Williams joined The Dime Bank in October of 2007 as the head teller of the Honesdale office. In 2008 she was chosen for The Dime Bank’s in-house management trainee program. After program completion, Williams was promoted to assistant community office manager of the Honesdale office. Last year Williams also completed the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association Customer Service Program. She lives in Milford with her husband Jim and children Daniel, Chelsea, and Jacob, and is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Milford.
