PORT JERVIS – Veterans with James C. Bilz American Legion Post #685 of Port Jervis support the upcoming Welcome Home to Vietnam Vets, and recently provided a generous donation as part of their support.  Pictured is Commander James Knight presenting a check from the membership to Floyd Babcock, Chairman of the “Welcome home, Vietnam Veterans” upcoming event.   Half of the group’s donation came from the local American Legion’s general fund and half from a collection taken among members present at the group’s monthly meeting.  Babcock was on hand to give the ‘heads up’ to the group regarding the March 28 event.  The March gathering will pay special tribute to Vietnam Vets, but give a hearty overall salute to all of America’s veterans.
