The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for our area for Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. A nor’easter is expected to bring heavy snow to New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
Total accumulation for Monroe and Pike counties could be six to 12 inches. Warren and Sussex counties in New Jersey could get more than a foot of snow. Strong winds may accompany the storm, especially along the coast.
Tuesday: A chance of snow after 4 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 29. North wind between 3 and 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Snow. Low around 18. Calm wind becoming east between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Wednesday: Snow. High near 27. Blustery, with a northeast wind between 13 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Wednesday Night: Snow showers likely, mainly before 1 a.m. Cloudy and blustery, with a low around 15. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28.
