Photos From First Day of School at DVES

This picture of my strings teacher, Mrs. Ruth Sweeney, and me was taken while practicing for my solo in the Delaware Valley Elementary School and Shohola Elementary School combined concert held this past May.  Mrs. Sweeney is pictured accompanying me.  The song I was playing was “Concerto No. V in A Major” by Wolfgang Mozart.  I was a student in Mrs. (Janelle) Mang’s sixth grade at Delaware Valley Elementary School when this photo was taken but I am now a seventh grader who will attend the DV Middle School when school starts again in August.

Our Recycling Game

The sixth graders were students in Mrs. (Ann) Connell’s/Mrs. (Cindy) Bachman’s class and are now headed to DV Middle School as seventh graders.

Sussex Skyhawks Inspire Educational Excellence

MILFORD – Scooter, the Mascot of the Sussex Skyhawks Baseball Team, visited Delaware Valley Elementary School to promote the “Score an A’, Score a Ticket” Academic Incentive Program.

It’s a Big, Big World

2008 2009 kindergarten big world kkTawhid Jahangir, Trinity Long, and Marcus Cortez agree with the title of the book they read together in their kindergarten class this past school year. The students were classmates in Mrs. Diana Kudrich’s Delaware Valley Elementary School kindergarten and have now expanded their horizons as they head to first grade.

Color and Shape Experts

Earth Day is a BIG Day at DVES

Sixth Grade Hosts Board

 I am the Delaware Valley Elementary School sixth grader (going into seventh) with the glasses on the left.  Pictured with me are some of my sixth grade classmates: Joana Inostroza, Vinny Moncelsi, and Gaeron Friedrichs.  Behind them are Mrs. (Kim) Butaitis (our principal) with four members of the Delaware Valley Elementary School Board.  We had just given the school board members a tour of our school and we were listening to the orchestra of our school during this pictured.  The orchestra was wonderful and we really enjoyed meeting and spending time with our guests from the school board.

Flapping Our Wings to First Grade

06 09 flap you wings for kindergarten gradMiranda Murray, Anna Bailorand, and Chloe Young were kindergartners in Mrs. Diana Kudrich’s Delaware Valley Elementary School class during the past school year.  Just as the book they read together with their teacher suggested, they flapped their wings so well that are headed to first grade for the next school year.
